Basically, my problem concerns amplifier clipping. My system consists of a pioneer head going to a pioneer DSP then from there it goes to an ESP then to an audiocontrol Overdrive. Finally, it reaches an Audiocontrol 2xs Xover which filters the signal(75HZ lowpass) going to the Power250x2.
Gain of the amplifier is set at minimum or near minimum(5v). When bass hit at volumes over 11, the clipping indicator of my punch status display lights up. Why is this so?
I used a voltmeter to check the output stage of the amp and there's no current(DC) coming out. Output of my 2 12" solo's doesn't seem to be loud enough(134.2db).

That output with those subs is not bad at all. Those are SQ subs not SPL. I don't know the answer to your clipping problem. All I know is that if you want to get much louder, you are going to have to buy different subs. I have a friend that has a setup with 2 12" solos powered by a kicker ZR1000 and he barely gets over 130db. If you wanted to be amazed try swapping out the solo's for a set of JL W3's. The difference will astound you.
