Yeah! I agree. I'm not even going to attempt getting a number until I get this resolved.

i had this problem in my car.

and yeah, its cool to romp on it and its all fun at the show

but

replacing them constantly does get very expensive. the problem with mine was that the roof brace at the window was cracked in half....bout 4 inches from the center.

so i had a little weldwork done

and now, the roof is tearing at the sheetmetal. i have plans to get it repaired, but damn......not quite what i expected to happen in the car.

Eric now I have a window problem too but I think mine is due to letting the window people put new ones in for me and the third window I will just do myself. Mine was letting go at only 156.2 @ 47 Hz not quite low just yet I want to bring the peak down to 43 approx. You find out what your problem was other than being tuned to damn low and loud?

Ps. I seen you at Taylor,Mich and the first thing I thought was type of glue. Good luck fixing it either way Eric, hope to see more of your van, it was very pleasing to watch!

I feel sorry for you, looks like you have a lot of sanding to do

When you fixed the brace did it change your score any?

I remember Tommy having a brace in his truck that looked like it went from floor to ceiling. I never talked to him about it but someone told me it was to help keep from breaking the windshield. But they also said that it hurt his score as well. I don't really know. The highest I've had the van up to since the windshield was last done is a 155.1, and that was at maybe 45 hz. I wouldn't think that the glue would let loose that easily, but it did!

I think I fixed my window issue. I am not as loud atm only doing 156.2 doors closed at 32Hz and 46 hz. My window went twice before I just redid it myself and I know its not broke since.

I can explain what I did if you like if your still having trouble.

Gene said something else on the van broke down yesterday. What was it, and what's up with it?

My rear suspension is giving out. Theres a clamp that holds the rear end to the springs and keeps the axle allined. That clamp broke and my axle slide back on the passenger side. It pushed the wheel into the fender and chewed up the tire. We worked on it for hours and I was able to get it back home. But now the whole suspension in the rear needs to be reworked. The springs are fiberglass and one of them is shattered. The other side is where the clamp broke.

at least you weren't too far from the house when it happened. The show was pretty decent, but you didn't miss a whole lot.
