I have a Stinger power supply, its old. I am trying to find out what model it is and its potential. I wish I could upload a pic. However, It has the stinger logo across the front with 50 bellow, I believe its a 50 amp converter. Its the old BIG block style. about 15" by 15" 5" tall. simple turn on switch with a reset momentary button. There is no part # or anything else on this beast. it weighs about 50 pounds. he he stinger 50/ 50 lbs. Juust asking if you know what I am talking about. We had it runng the show room, but we upgraded to the hybrid power supply, much smaller. You know your stuff, I know mine as well. I just have not seen such a massive, diode embedded, toroid coil monster in a long time. Info is nice. Hope you help me. I am sure you wnat to know what I want to do with it. Stick it in the house! about 5 cube box for the older st15(memphis) it was given to me. a kinetik 1400 for back up. maybe some amp laying around. want the house knockin like the shop. Just need to know more about this power supply. Big, black, and very heavy. later

I don't know that model necessarily. Stinger usually has the amperage in the part number, so I would assume it to be a 50amp model as well. There may even be a rating on the CB. At least you happened to find one with a good ampere rating. So many people try to do this with a 5 or 10A converter. At least you can run decent power...although I still encourage people to buy proaudio amp when they want high power at home.

MY boss had this thing sitting around for five years, all it needed was a new switch. I do not want say my boss is an idiot, but I am sure he knows what he was giving me, I just want to know what I do with it.. I'm gonna check tomorrow with a small load(amp) check the voltage drop with dmm. It's old, but it still works. Who else would like to take up such little space, spend 1/10th the price of HOME equipment, when you can have dolbly dts, 5 channel hybrid amp, kch1400 for back up and a 15 or maybe 2 12's in a huge ass vented enclosure..It makes me feel younge again. Oh yea, on that lexus, let me check.

IF THIS DOES NOT HELP, THIS TOOK A GOOD WHILE, THE INTERFACE MODULE SHOULD DO THE TRICK FOR THE IGN BYPASS, I myself haven't seen one yet, so my guess is as good as yours, I think I would charge a little extra on this one. and don't forget to isolate those door triggers. heaven forbid someone open up the door and the car shows all are open..J/K. Any more info, just post, just doin the best I can, later, nater
I posted rhis a WHILE ago, not sure if that customer is still there for ya. no matter how you look at it, its a toyota, with can bus. An interface module should do the trick for 50% of it. locks, door trigger( so no need to isolate em" anyway, like I said, hope that helps.
