I've got two brahma 15's and a 6.5 boston pro comp set. I was thinking about adding two koda 8's for midbass purposes. But would they cancel stuff out?
I understand I'd have to get a eq but how would this sound? The 8's would be going in a mdf enclosure in front of the seats like in the console section. As I have the pros in the doors and don't have room to put 8's also. I want midbass to go along with the two 15's and comp set. But I was wondering if I'd be able to tell they were there and how it would sound?
This is what Adireaudio's site says Low Q Sealed 0.55 ft³ sealed (Qtc=0.6) Stuff with 8 ounces of polyfill Mid Q Sealed 0.35 ft³ sealed (Qtc=0.7) Stuff with 4 ounces of polyfill High Q Sealed o.25 ft³ sealed (Qtc=0.8) Stuff with 4 ounces of polyfill
I've got .64 ft³ of room. For midbass do you want low,mid or high q?
I'm not set on 2 I could have 1 also but the same thing goes for it. Would it just cancel everything out also?
I'm going to be getting another screen soon so this will be for movies also not just music.

You want Mid Q of 0.7 for SQ. As long as the individual speakers 15's 8's are set an Octave (doubling or halving of a frequency tone)apart you should be fine, keeping each in it's own enclosure. So if you set the 15's for 40 Hz, set the 8's to 80Hz+ the 6's to 160Hz+, each X/O point slope can be adjusted.

I am thinking of doing the exact same thing in my impala (no center console). I am pointing mine away from each other to maaaaybe get a little bit of stereo effect from them. I think it will sound pretty great.
