it goes into the vcr input, and you use the source button to access it, but i think you have to enable that source, look at the manual, thats all i know.

I plugged it in the VCR and changed the source to everything it can change to, and I've messed with the AV inputs(turning it on to M-DVD and Video) I get nothing but a blank black screen??

did the vcr work before ya hooked up the PS2?
before when i had quite a few audio video sources i used a switch box, they just accept 4 RCA 3wire inputs and 1 output of the 3 rca wires.... i used it to select from the back up camera, VCR, PS2, and cd changer... worked fine in my old sony deck.
if you just hooked up the VCR as well id make sure you can select that input source without anything else...... with my new clarion deck i can select its inputs for audio at any time, but my old sony deck i had to have the cd changer hooked up. kinda sucked but i made it work
good luck.....
imjust waiting to buy a HUGE flip down screen i want at least 13inches if not 15, but i dont think i can do any bigger than 15.LOL at least not in my truck. i got the new PS2 slim to use in my instal.... might i add DANG these things are small! also im preaty sure you could modd it for auto REALY EASY since the power source is seperate now! it says like 8.5volts so most cigaret adaptors would work great, and the tip is just the round type which most adaptors should come with anyways and did i mention how freaken small this thing is!!!!!!!! makes my Xbox seem like a 2 ton concrete block!!!!!!!! its about 1/4 the size of my xbox..... i didnt realize it was this small until i pulled it outta the box! its just slightly bigger than a DVD case!
ive thought about either instaling it in the roof OR custom building a middle console to hold it... only thing i dont like about the new SLIM PS2 is the door is simply a push open latch style instead of the mechanical slide out but i guess its one less thing ya gotta worry about breaking! also it works in any angle since the cd pops into it like a cd player with the pins in the middle so its secure! thats good at least!

I never had a VCR or anything hooked up before, I've tried both moniter and vcr plug in's with the RCA's. I also changed my AV inputs from M-DVD and VIDEO and pressed the source just to find a blank screen and no sound??

id say edit your topic heading and type in your head units model for anyone to chime in and help ya out.... that way anyone that has or used it knows how to help ya
are you sure ya got the right video plug into the right one on the deck? typicaly yellow RCA..... just a thought...... or ya sure the PS2 works right? maybe take it out and check on a tv screen, or to be best just extend the video wire from your car to a tv.... maybe you got a pinched rca wire and its shorted out posibly..... or posibly its just to long of a wire....
i know when i hooked up a video camera in my dads motor home on the rear it wouldnt work because of one of the RCA wires had a short in it took quite some time to find too
maybe try locating the ps2 upfront so it doesnt need any extensions.
just a posibility.... good luck man!

So I took a 27" TV and put it next to my car and hooked it up, while its running from the power invertor, and it plays prefect on the TV. What am I doing wrong with this pioneer, Tried all the out/inputs on the brain, tried all the different source's, tried the ent. hmmm
