can someone tell me what kind of power 2 12" idq v.2 dual 2 ohm subs would take.....would they like 300 or 600 watts better coming from a jbl 600.1 or jbl 1200.1........and how are they for rock and some rap

The IDQ's area amazing subs... Personally I think in there price range they are the best sub on the market. As for power handling I have seen a d300HC (1200watts rms) hooked up to a single 10 inch IDQ and it had no problem and sounded great. I have heard these subs sound good with a mere 200 watts. I am running 350 to each IDQ 12 and I am hitting almost 151db. These subs are both SQ and SPL subs and they require very little space t run them in. I think 300-500 watts per 12 inch IDQ is perfect...
