i have the old rockford 500.2 thats gonna power the 400$ component set from DD and ill have 1 DD9515 in 7.89 cubes 80-85 sq inches of port tuned to 34hz powered by an mtx81000d per coil!

that should sound "alright"

Those components are incredibly loud when you have that much power to them, and they stay clean all the way up. When I had about 1000 watts to my 9515 and 350 to each side of the components from the 500.2, you couldn't really "hear" the bass outside the vehicle, just feel it. The mids and tweets get so incredibly loud. I'd recomend looking into an eq though, as my comps sound quite a bit better with some eq in the 1-3 kHz range. If you want them to take that power though, you'll probably have to cross them over very steeply. I'm using the built in 24 db/octave crossover in the amp (two X-cards), and the 12 db/octave crossover in my EPX2, both set at 80 Hz for nice steep dropoff after that. With some rap material, I'll even raise the EPX2's crossover to 120 Hz, but with almost everything it sounds ok at 80 Hz. You're on your way to great sound, I'll tell you that. The only problem I see is that enclosure is too big for a flat response, but it will have good output in the 30-40 Hz range, which is always fun. Are you gonna put the components in kicks, doors or what? I have mine in kicks, sealed about .1 cubes or so, and they have great midbass and upper bass ouput. Bottom line, they're perfect for someone who likes it really loud and great sounding.

Like I said, its an older 500.2, the big boy of its time. 700 watts, yeah at 4 ohm stereo, about 350x2. I believe the average birth certificate for these amps was between 1050 and 1100, running 2 ohms per channel (or 4 ohm bridged), and you can drop them down to 2 ohms bridged, and I've heard they'll do 1400 there, and even up to 1700 for burps at lower impedances and higher voltages.
