Hello, i just hooked up my system today and i'm having some troubles. I have the Alpine 7894, an Autotek XS1500.1, and 2 Fusion Powerplants. My box is 2 chambers with alittle over 2 cubes each tuned to 37hz. My stock speakers sound great with this HU, so i'm happy with that. But i have very little bass form my subs. I messed with everything for about 3 hours and still could't get it to work, the only way to get some decent bass was to crank everything up. I had my sub vol. at 7, the gains at less than half, amd the volume up to 25 (goes to 35) and still not much bass. I hope somebuddy can help, i'm soooo mad right now. It's prob just a small little thing too, lol. Any help would be great. Thanks.

is the subwoofer control up on the cd player? or is your main bassboost that effects your stock speakers all the way down? that would also effect your subs..

Check the polarity of the wires. Also, hook up a 12gauge power wire directly from the batt to the HU. The stock wiring will not support the internal amp and preouts.

I had my sub vol. from 0 to 15 and still not much bass. The bass to the stock speakers is at 0. My amp is wired to a 1 ohm load (dual 4's). I also already have 12 gauge running straight to the batt. And the fader isn't for the subs, just left to right, front to rear. I will check the polarirt though. Anybody else have any ideas. Thanks.

Yeah, keep the h/u sub vol at 15. Check the polarity because it might be running in a 180 phase. You also might have your amp settings wrong? As in the low pass and high pass filters.

Well i have my HPF at 80Hz and my LPF at 80hz(on my deck then my amp is set to LPF 80hz, is this ok. My sub are wired pos to pos and neg to neg, then pos and neg to the amp. So each sub is wired to 2 ohms and then paralled on the inside of the amp to make 1 ohm (now as far as i know it's wired like this but i could of screwed up, but i will check tomor). Also the subs move lots but not much bass, so i guess there out of faze. But if its all wored correctly, what else could it be.

12guage from the batery??? i hope you dont mean thats the power wire....... but most likly its your polarity on the subs voice coils. if you have it backwards it will be fighting with the sub so it wont be moving very much and will sound like CRAP!!!!!

12 gauge for the deck and 2 gauge for the amp, lol. So it basically sounds like a polarity problem, i will check tomorrow and let you guys know. Thanks for all the help, and i hope this is the problem.

I don't think i can shut it off, it a POT type switch that turns. It goes from 35Hz to 250Hz (LPF)

its gota just be wired voice coils wrong! one thing i recomend. is cuting another hole in the box and mounting another terminal cup. so alls you gotta do is run a jumper wire to change the ohm loads realy quick! ive got a 15inch brahma mounted inverted so the magnet sticks out. so alls i gotta do is unplug the wires and change it directly, but with my old boxes i had dual terminal cups. its alot easier to change the wiring and also problem solve when something does have a problem
