I just called a local dealer to see how much the Kicker 12" L7 is, the bastard wants $300! I think I'll stick with the internet and go $100 cheaper, thanks!

You need to be careful purchasing on internet - many manufacturers will not honor warranties if not purchased through a certified dealer. Just be careful and do your research before spending.

ya just because your saving cash isnt always a good deal. expetialy if you instal yourself or have a friend do it that doesnt know how to PROPERLY SET THE GAINS AND CROSSOVERS, and they gotta have a good ear. you turn it too high ya it gets louder but gets distortion mainly and that blows it. but if you know how or know someone that can set it up properly its a great deal!!!! always shop around before buying anything and make sure hes got a good reputation! only thing i use retail stores for is to hear some equipment and check out the new ones and play with them.

I know the difference between wholesale and retail, so back off. My other local place is selling the 10 for only 169, and is an authorized dealer. They don't have any 12s in stock so I didn't ask the price. 169 to 300 is too big of a jump, they are probably only 220 or 230 at my other shop. So yeh, not a newbie, thanks though!
Oh and what you said about unauthorized internet dealers is true, people need to learn to set up their equipment carefully and have the gains set properly. Subs don't just blow on their own (normally).

I am mad because he is the only dealer in town witht the 12" in stock and he wants an arm and a leg for it. I just called the other place, Norton Stereo, and they want $229 for theirs. No reason for the other guy to have his so high.....

www.ikesound.com has it $209 shipped takes about 5 days to get (usually) and u got a year warranty, i also would never again buy from a local dealer, thezeb.com also has very nive prices, and they pricematch eachother.

You are lucky that they only want $300 for it. $349 is retail on those things. They are just trying to make a living for god sakes. Besides, you buy online, most likely there is no warranty. And Ikesound's warranty is a joke. You guys need to lighten up. Don't just expect to get a deal on everything. The only way shops are gonna give you a deal is if you are a repeat customer or you make a BIG purchase. They can't just knock the price in half for every idiot who walks in off the street.

what isnt alowed? im not selling my car over the internet. simply stating im selling the car and geting a new one. so new stereo is needed. dont see anything wrong with that. i got it advertised in a local paper. should sell quick enough for so cheap, but would never expect someone to drive along way to buy this car over the internet.LOL now if i had my phone# and price on i would see how it would be. o well.......
