Hooling up a amp to my friends factory headunit. I have the Line out converter but I was wondering how to hook up the 12v remote turn on? Not sure what exactly to hook it up to.

Most factory decks are wired for power antennas even when not equiped, www.installdr.com will let you know which wire to tap. If all else fails, use the accessory wire.

either go thru any rubber gromet or do the old drill a hole thru and make one! just make sure you put something around the sharp metal so it doesnt cut thru the wire. 8 guage isnt anything thats practialy a peice of string.LOL now try to work with 1/0gauge.... [Big Grin] [Big Grin]
usualy their is a ruber gromet by the steering shaft or fuse box. just before you cut or drill into anything make sure nothing important also gets cut or drilled into. and if you have to drill a hole in my opinion always drill it around the floor and use somekind of sealer around the opening so no water ever leaks into the vehicle. good luck
