I work at a depot and already been drug tested there more than my previous jobs. Guess it doesnt' help I broke $800 worth of merchandise at one time.
I just bought 60 feet of 16-2 speaker wire at Lowes at $0.22 a foot. It cost me just $13.20

LOL... I remember the good old days of working at five different Home Depots. The best stories came from working overnight for just under a year. This one guy had just used the reach truck to put up a re-packed pallet of 5-gallon buckets of paint that were discontinued.
What I always did when putting pallets up was to get the pallet over the rack by about an inch and a couple inches deep. Then I would tilt the pallet down and would lower forks so the pallent would touch the rack. This allowed me to just extend the forks knowing that the back end of the pallet (out of sight) was not resing on anything.
Keep in mind that this guy was kinda a maniac on the lift equpment. He most likely extended his forks all the way and then lowered them. Instead of the back of the pallet resting next to the saftey beam, it was resting on it!!!
Not long after, you heard a huge CRASH! The whole pallet of 5-gallon buckets of paint had crashed in the aisle, spreading paint EVERYWHERE!!! Since our overnight manager was such an idiot, the employee was never even sent for a drug test
This has been a story out of the Tempe Anthology of Short Stories
i've heard stories about the slipsheet cutting through racking like a hot knife through butter... i know a few months ago, I saw a whole design center display [all 3/4 MDF and the lil 2x2 marble samples.. 1500-2000 lbs easy] fall from the upper racking... because the pallet weight was not distributed evenly , and the pallet had been broken already..
come to find out.. when the rep was in our store [ as we were bringing it down.].. he tells us later that the same problem [ that particular display] crashed at 2 other stores in the past few days..

i sell audiopipe and it's great wire too. 1.50 is damn cheap.
a little off topic but when i worked at xerox a guy was loading a copyier that was just built, putting it up on storage racks and dropped it. i was almost 100' away and got hit by small pieces. all he did after was take it to scrap area because all the plastic was broke and frame was wrecked. that coypier was worth just over $500,000 and nothing happened to him...SPLaudio
