If I put some more fans in the amp will that cause a higher THD rating. I had my amp on for 45 min and the way I have to have it mounted it was at the 170 shut off right as i turned the car off. So I am looking at puting some Fans inside and tie it into the same leades as the "stock" fan. But will this cause unwanted noise and humming though the susb??
Thanks for the help.

If "I" was adding fans to a factory amp fan, I would use a relay, to take the extra load off of the internal components that run the origional fan. I would also fan the outside of the heatsink rather than the inside. Unless your amp has the heatsink inside like some PPI amps. It should not induce noise into your system. But depending on how large of a fan you use, you might be able to hear the fan itself.
Hope this helps.
