Put a piece of Velcro on the back of the cone where it is slapping. Use the soft side of the velcro and use a small piece as possible.

I had the same problem on my comp. I actually took electrical tape, and taped the lead to the terminal plate. Havn't had any problems since.

What exactly is the problem with lead slap? Does it damage the cone, or is it the way it makes the sub sound? [Confused]

i does not hurt the sub but it makes a very annoying rattling sound because the wires are hitting the cone repeatedly. they hit the cone fast and hard if the cone is moving at a large excusion.

plain and simple. it sounds bad.

it can cause damage. its started to damage on my brahma. it had a preaty thick rubber coating over the metal tensil. and now where it slaps the rubber has worn off. im worried it will keep going thru the wire breaking it. so ive got it at a lower ohm load. its still preaty hard but could be alot harder but i gotta try fixing it still and tweeking the amp back at 1ohm.
but the anoying sound is REALY BAD TO HEAR IF YOU HAVE IT! i wish they would have made the tensils atached to the spyder to the cone. well not sure if its called the spyder but the part that looks like a waffle.

your talking about woven tinsels(yes that wavy thing is the spider). there was a thread on Caraudioforum.com about it, but the search is down... try http://forums.acoustic-visions.com
that's adires forum, there is a solution, I dont remeber but it was just glueing a pad on there, but I'd ask for the specifics....
