Whenever I buy my Diamond 12 and start actually looking into them more, is the RMS wattage on them going to vary, like do different 12's put out more RMS watts than others, if so how do I got about chosing which one to get?
Also should the RMS power of my amp be a little more than the RMS power on my 12?

Subs do not put out different powers. They are rated to handle different amounts of power. Which Diamond 12'' sub are you getting? CM3, M6, MacDaddy, or TDX? Generally you can run more than RMS power to a sub for daily driving if you set the gains properly, but not a lot more than RMS on one of those subs. The CM3.....do all amps have different controls on them? I'm planning on getting just one 12 and later on adding another 12, will I have to buy a bigger amp to power both subs?
I'm starting off with an Alpine HU.
