i,m building a SS1-2 n/w car.what i want to know is, if i can have two systems in it.the front one would have, one 8in. sub w/ a 250d on it.a kenwood headunit powering the door speakers.it would also have a 6in, tv and a ps2.it would be able to disconnect from the battery(so know one said i was cheating)
the back system would be the spl.
two reasons for this is. one-the car would be the stores demo.so i want to show some of the work i do. two-when at a show it can take a long time(as you all know)so i could sit back and play some ps2.
if anyone know something about this.i would like two know, befor i get two far into this.
thanks for your help. mark masters

well, if i get this right, th 8 inch will count as a sub so u would get bumped, uless they change it!!! if i got it right, anything that is 8 inches or bigger will be counted as a subwoofer and thus determining your class!!! don't quote me on this tho, get more replies.
but i do get what your sayin!!

According to the 2001 rules...
quote: 2-2 All of the woofers in a vehicle (8 inches and larger) will be counted when determining what class a competitor should compete in, even if the woofers in question are not operational.
I do not foresee any changes to this rule, in the 2002 season. Might I suggest designing the multi-media system (front of vehicle) to be completely removable (not just disconnected). This would provide you the opportunity for "in between runs" game playing. It could also influence customers (since it would be a store demo car) that you could design and construct a media system that could look factory, yet still have the ability to return the vehicle to stock with little effort.

boy sid you dont ask for much.i guess i could use wing nuts to hold the sub in.i could take it out befor a show and put it in after.
also, can i have batterys mounted in front of the radiator and behind the front bumber. i will have room for three their, one under the hood, and four in back (8)in all.
