why isn't dynamat on the comparison? has the second skin been verified yet? how thick is it? and some of the original questions were never answered like is thicker actually better, I believe dynamat extreme is thinner than the original dynamat and everyone seems to like it better than the original...and we need to update the list since Edead now has V3 $50 gallon and V4 $2.00/sq ft I can't find V.2 on there site anymore either only v.1.SE 1.50/sq ft 70 mils
at $1.10 /sq ft for FatMat how does that equal $140 for a 100/sq ft roll?

Square footage is a bad way to compare products. The HD I just transfered to has something very similar to peel n seal, but is is thin as hell. There is no way it will dampen as well as anything I have ever seen. Vinyl-based products dampen better than asphalt-based products.

Hmm, I prefer Magic Mate 400. Legal for DB Drag in a single layer application and best actual deadener on the market. Somewhat time consuming on install though.
RAAMaudio's RAAMmat BXT is a high quality product priced to compete with asphalt mats. If you are considering an asphalt sound deadener based on price, please reconsider.
Remember, you are not just buying square feet, you are buying mass. Most of the asphalt mats are thinner and the lighter than the butyl products. This means you will need more layers to accomplish the same result. The only close comparison is eDead v1SE vs. RAAMmat. They are close in weight and thickness, despite the fact that Elemental Designs significantly overstates the density of their products.
If I were to repeat my own installation - 300 square feet of damping mat - here's how it would price out for RAAMmat BXT and eDead v1SE, shipped: RAAMmat BXT $594.00 eDead v1SE $513.00
There is only $81.00 between the two. If you use less, the difference will be smaller. This is not even close. Buy the RAAMmat BXT.
If you only needed 100 square feet: RAAMmat BXT $198.00 eDead v1SE $171.00
It is clear from my research that the RAAMmat BXT 60 is the "best" unless money doesn't matter to you then the Damplifier Pro (3.29/sq ft) is the "best".
IMO
