I have a Fender Passport PA Amplifier that puts out 125W p/Channel. I have connected two Peavey TLS2X speakers rated at 500W. I did a party last week and the AMP kept shutting itself down, I assume as self protection. Can the speakers actually DRAW more than the AMP is producing?!?! I didn't think this was possible however I had the amp checked out and all is well

most likely to low of an ohm load. Series the speakers and see how it works. It won't be near as load but should keep working. Most of those amps aregood for a 4 to 8 ohm load.
