Hey all, I have an '03 Avalanche. It had the stock bose system so I have the mid in the door and the tweeter up on the pillar by the windshield. Right now I currently have the Alpine Type X Components (6.5 in the front 5.25 in the back). I am using an Orion 8004 amp on them. At low volume they sound good, like any other component set, but at high volume, they sound good for only about the length of one song. Then they sound extemely muddy and distorted, you can hardly hear the music or the people singing, it just sounds like noise. So I am in the market for new components. I want something that can handle very high volume for a long period of time and be extremely loud, and sound good doing it. For my low-end I have 4 15" Orion H2's with a 2500D to each sub, so they will need to keep up with those. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My friend had them in his GTi, they sounded a little too tinny and hissy for me. Could have been how they were crossed over or the amp he was using.

it was how he had it set, probably +3 on the tweet. it sets down all the way to -6 on the tweet for your listening preferences.
