I've seen customers buy expensive systems, and in many cases I found that the system's potential wasn't neing used [Eek!] , as many of those expensive components were capable of Balanced operation.
How many of you are fameliar with the term ?
How many of you are using the Balanced inputs on your amplifiers?

That's a Balanced Line Transmitter.
Converts unbalanced RCA input to Balanced output.

You use CAT5 instead of RCA.
http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/4/web/820000-820999/820320_15_full.jpg

See....
Supposed to be less noise.
I don't buy into it. Plus your components have to be able to run it. They expected me to run the balanced line output to like some other device like a line driver (when It already comes with a line driver), the run it to the stereo)
In the end I would still be running RCA's, unless your entire system is made for this....Eclipse deck have a built in balanced output capability don they?

Whoa ChrominImpala, If you don't buy into it, chances are you've never experienced a Balanced system.
I don't see any dedicated balanced connections on your link. From what you're describing, you seem to be referring to an LPL (line driver for sub) rather than Balanced operation.
The idea with a Balanced system is to eliminate the chances of spurrious noise from entering the signal path, by eliminating the potential for noise.
You can understand more by reading this; http://www.balanced.com/faq/balanced.html .
