i know some of you say they suck etc... i persoannlly use the image dynamics 30bands in the rear for set adjustments, but i cant leave anything alone. i need the one up front to be able to do some minor adjustments for different types of music. maybe just me. anyway not wanting to spend 2000$ on a simple in dash unit what are my choices. i know audiocontrol has them but we carried them for almost 4 years and they seemed to be a crapshoot as to ones that either died or produced lots of noise in the system. not all of them did but we had more than out share of issues with them. please give me some suggestions. i almost scored a par-245 the other day but ill be damned i missed it by a mere few minutes. help me out here
by the way i didnt relize you had a forum for eq's i may have double posted sorry if i did new here.

i have had a clarion 5 band eq it was somewhat disapointed, it did have a line driver and was only like $60. what i think im going to save up for next is a pioneer deq 7500, or 9200. they are a single din 15 band indash digital dq. 7500 runs about $120, and the 9200 runs around $200. kenwood also has a digital indash, i think its a 12 band. but if your looking for a indash slide bar eq a good one with a lot of bands is hard to find. i have looked. some old alpine 9 band ones, and everyone has seen the plye and pryamid ones on ebay which i wouldnt even think about buying. then audiobahn makes some 1/2 din units that i think goes up to 8 or 9 bands, with line driver also.

Why not sell the ID pieces and pick up one of the available digital pieces that have controllers you can mount up front. It would also give you different settings that you can flip between for different types of music?
Other than that, the only in dash piece I have ever liked was the PPI Par-225.
