I'm about to start my new project...my gf's 91 Honda Accord SE. I already have it sittin on 17" chrome american racing wheels and eurolites, and i'm currently working on the stereo system. I have a couple questions. Does anyone know what size the door speakers are? Any ideas on where I could run the 4 gauge power wire thru the firewall? I've yet to find any info on the size and id like to know instead of taking the door panels off just to find out. Also, anyone have any tips on how to take the center part of the dash out? It was all busted up when her cd player was stolen, and i'm still trying to get it all put back together. I'm trying to make everything look clean (already have the woodgrain trim and leather all cleaned up). Any help is appreciated. Thanks

www.crutchfield.com should be able to tell you what size you need.

More than likely 6.5's in the doors.

Also, www.honda-tech.com is your friend. Just dont let them know you have 17's or altezza tail lights.

The doors are shallow. It is going to take some work o get those to fit but with a little work they will go.

i gotta 92 accord. like everybody said 6.5's all the way around and the doors are shallow as hell...i even had to use half inch spacers with some infinity reference speakers cause they would hit the window when it was rolled down. and for the firewall...ok try and follow me...under the hood on the passenger side on the firewall there should be a charcol/black canister looking thing (obviously dont know what it is). under that there is a plastic gromet that comes out on the inside of the car...just behind the carpet. you should be able to peel the carpet back some from the inside and see the plastic gromet and just push it out. i have 2 runs of 1/0 gauge so 4 guage should not be a problem. if u need any other help feel free to ask.
hope this helps some

Of course it looks more natural, its a little tuna can of a car [Smile] It would probably look better on 17's if it was dumped cuz stock on 17's a CRX looks goofy to me.

Of course its going to ride better, if your on 15's then your gonna be on a bigger tire, there isnt any "rubberbands" for a 15" rim. LOL that reminds me, i guess im old, i remember when a 195 / 50 / 15 was a "rubberband" or "low-pro" hahahhah that thing is a meat now [Big Grin]

I can pretty much do anything i want to the car, since i'm the one doing all the maintinence on it (her dad is in the military so he's never home) but i'm not sure how well firing them forward would work for her. she doesnt wanna have to pull down the backseat since u have to use a key to do that. also, shes got all leather interior so i wanna keep all that as clean as possible. this car is in really good condition, although the mileage is a lil high (over 150k i believe but it runs perfect). does anyone know if or where i could find a replacement for the woodgrain trim panels for the dash? when her cd player was stolen, it was shattered into about 30 peices. I managed to put it all back together, but i still think a new one would look better (she thinks it looks great but i'm a perfectionist).

also, could i take the rear 6.5s (which work fine) and put those in the doors and the RF 6 3/4 in the back so theres no clearence issues? would this work? thanks guys!

if the 6.5's fit in the door depth wise then go for it...but i think your gonna have to cut the factory speaker holes in the rear deck to make those 6 3/4s fit. if u dont wanna seal it up then i heard that you should put the box all of the way against the trunk opening and fire everything forward .here is a good link to lound tunkers. good luck. http://audioforum.termpro.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?/ubb/get_topic/f/3/t/005684.html

Speakers depends...what size are your rear speakers from the factory? If 6x9s, the you have 4s in the front doors. If you have 6.5s in the rear then you have 6.5s in the front doors.
