maybe not bottoming out but they make a popping noise and are at their max burping super high frequencies but how much does a small leak really matter?
either way its ghetto and i am rebuilding, I did it in a rush to get metered at nopi. i'll post a few pics, the wall isnt sealed off and there are huge airgaps too just to add to it lol. I have to get my back windows then i can get serious. It was intended to be a temporary thing just to see what it could do. I am working on the mt 18 and amps which is prolly what i am going to use next season and maybe put a xxx and a plug in for daily or an atomic or something

a leak can make a "cupping" sound almost like a bottoming out.

the way ur not sealed off from the back u can loose as much as 6dbs. what happens is the sound waves travels back behind the enclosure and when it bounces back around to the front it cancels out the front wave.

yea the trunk is loud now lol. yea its all enclosure i destroyed that one now i realized getting my seats out is way more easy than i thought. I thought they were riveted in because that was all i could see is a big flat pin but they are just bolted. I am thinking if i build it as big as absolutely possible i can get around 12-16 ft after displacement. I did some rough measurements lol. oh man i cant wait to rebuild not in the car.

I will...But i'm going to set it up where I can build it out of the car and just slide it in. Plus, I needed something I could use daily for now until I have a high enough budget to start a real system.

From the numbers you listed on the front page. And what I could make sence of them and your box.
With a total volume after all displacement 6.179cf with a 24.5x5.75x10.51" port I come up with a tuning freq for the box at 55hz. I am not sure how close your \ in the cornor is to the mouth of the port. It could be changing your tuning freq but i cant see it being much. Plus the longer port is usually a lower freq. I do not know why your subs would be bottoming out at 55hz if everything is up to par. Good luck with that.
