I just use a ruler with holes drilled in it. Works fine for me.

i just use a piece of 18 ga primary wire with a ring terminal on each end. put a screw through one end and the pencil in the other. Make the distance between the ring terminals exactly half the diameter of the circle you want.

we use scrap pieces of mdf if i'm not at the shop with the router....
measure the radius run a screw through it on the center mark, pencil at the end of the mdf and just spin it...perfect circles everytime.....BUT I HATE JIG SAWS!!!!!!!!

Take a hacksaw blade and put a nail where you want the center of the circle to be, then measure from the center of the nail to the correct radi that you want for your hole and then place a pencil at that point on the edge of the blade with the teeth, the teeth will grip pencil and keep it from walking on you.
