Well about a month ago, i was playing my system (2 1501's and 2 Audio Que 12''s) and one of the subs just stopped working. I thought i blew an amp, but after hours of testing everything, it turned out to the the sub. Both the coils on it read 0.0.
So i send it back into DD, and call week after week, and finally, today, after 3 weeks they said they finally got to it (they said it was just sitting there the rest of the time).
And the result, my fault, the bottom spider broke because of "over excursion" that resulted in shorting the coil out. They also told me that i did not return the gasket (which im 100% sure i did) and were carging me EXTRA ontop of the 130+shipping.
What i dont get, is how only 1 sub had this problem, with both of them in the same box, same power with the gains matched..same rca signal and everything.....
Does anyone else understand that?

Could just be a mechanical failure. Not all subs are the same even though they are the same model and brand.

ya one might have just been alittle tighter or the other one alittle looser... remember these subs arent mechanicaly made.... i know alot of manufactures if not all make every sub by hand.... just cross your fingers and hope you got a good builder that put it all together correctly!
