heres a few teasers.......i didnt want to post until we had the box 100% but after taken some pix last nite i had to share some.......

its still rough, and the subs arent in yet. We are experimenting with different LED colors/configurations so you will see some red, some blue but nothins permanent just playin with some ideas.

Just to let you fellas know this box isnt all me. It is a joint effort between myself and the PIMP ASS PLEXI MASTER Bobby Gately. I designed it, took it to him and told him i wanted to do something special....we Pow-Wow'd for a while and decided what would be kinda tight. He did most of the building and i played his "helper" (im usually the "box" foreman but shanking a piece of 1" plexi by making the wrong move isnt something i wanted to do.....that $hit aint cheap)

More pix as i make some more progress.....lots of other stuff has been done but isnt really "pic worthy" unless you guys like sein wires ran thru door jambs and under carpets... [Big Grin]

(remember, i dont work or own a stereo shop so i get what i can done.......when i can) I WISH i had 10-12 hrs a day to work on this but i have a reg 9-5 (6:30 - 4:00) so time is always an issue for me.

Incredible box dude.
Question on the Tahoe box... The box appears to be taller then the back window. Do you compete in USACi and if so, what class?

Hey now!!!! I have been running the same size box for a few years now, even at a 3X judged by Wayne. As for Steve's box, it is well below the line as well.

Your one lucky guy to have the help of Bobby Gately help you with your box [Razz]

When i first saw the pics i thought o he can build some pretty nice plexi boxs.I was going to ask you how much you charge but knowing who built it i could'ed afford it [Frown]

only if i could get to cali,my damn car would'ed make it [Frown]
--------------------------------------------------
I do have a question about the install you did in your Tahoe thow.In those pics you show of you making you box for your 18's i see you have them flush mounted,i wanted to ask how you did that???

^^^^^^^done been answered about a few posts ago [Wink]

using a string, i am 1/2" below the line at the top of the surround on my subs. My front window line angles downward just a slight bit so i guess it all depends on how anal a judge is. The front window is so far away it may be to hard to tell but being 4" below my backseat line (i know that dont matter) and having pulled a string from window to window and still havin room.......this box is FAR from a wall. I am walking a fine line i know but it still IS NOT A WALL.......and if a judge somewhere wants to be anal and call it that, well i wont complain, ill just stick something under it in the very back so it almost stands up and maybe get a better score so either way i dont care. This box was built MAINLY to bump on a daily basis and not block the back window. If i get stuck in a diff class, i wont complain (too much) [Big Grin] Ill just make the best of it.

just noticed your link.....ya its right there by the back glass so i dunno......i was using side windows which it clears. I dont think the back hatch glass counts does it? If that was the case then do you use the windshield too as a way to measure? Like i said, i may be walkin a fine line and the judge will have to decide at the time but if you were to sit in my ride you would agree its not a wall by any means.....

I don't know many that would complain, unless you are louder than them [Wink]
I like the box and I hope soon to try the MT's out. (if David would get off his a&&) [Razz]
My four SX 12's are putting out pretty decent currently in Street C. [Smile]
