I'm having trouble deciding one which set up to use between these

2 SX 15's
1 SX 18
8 RE 8's
3 SX 12's
I've got a limit on subs b/c this will be a comp setup and I've got a limited space to mount subs. The front plate on the subs will be 20.25 inchs tall and 38.25 inches wide. I really don't know the outside demintions of the RE subs but I kinda got my heart set on 2 SX 15's but I don't know if I will be able to get enough port area to get full output with them that's why I was looking into 1 SX 18 maybe or 3 SX 12's. With the 2 15's I would burp at .5 ohms and get right around 4k watts out of my amp with the 15's and I could run the 12's at .6 or .7 I don't really know how it would work out but I would still get a lot of power out of the amp. What would you do???

If you do the 2 15s with the sub on one side, port on the other, you could get between 7 and 8 inches of port width (8 if you stagger the subs to make the most of your baffle size) and 18.75" tall for 130-150 square inches of port. Out of those choices, I'd personnally do the 2 15s, but I don't compete, so I can't say what will be loudest.

i would go with the 3 12's because u will still have plenty of space for your port and u would have more cone area
which technically means more cone area more spl
not always true but it depends on the install
another plus to 3 12's is the os factor
