technically yes...if that is the actual power coming out of both amps...not by obtuse company ratings...
-------------------- Linux Airline Disgruntled employees of all the other OS airlines decide to start their own airline. They build the planes, ticket counters, and pave the runways themselves. They charge a small fee to cover the cost of printing the ticket, but you can also download and print the ticket yourself. When you board the plane, you are given a seat, four bolts, a wrench and a copy of the seat-HOWTO.html. Once settled, the fully adjustable seat is very comfortable, the plane leaves and arrives on time without a single problem, the in-flight meal is wonderful. You try to tell customers of the other airlines about the great trip, but all they can say is, "You had to do what with the seat?" Posts: 2956 | From: Tinley Park | Registered: May 2000

because power isn't everything. You have to look at things like Signal to Noise ratio, Total harmonic distortion, damping etc..
All of which the zapco will dominate at. Not to mention the zapco will probably last a hell of a lot longer.

most of those specs are meaningless after a certain level because you wont hear a difference
build quality i do believe in however

A watt is a watt. You won't notice a difference in SQ unless the amp is pushed into clipping.
Weird, huh?

You are paying more for reliability and actual power. A boss amp is not going to keep up with my Usamps tu600. You could probably take a 1000 watt boss amp next to my 600 watt (rated specs here) US and mine would "sound" better. The thing is, to get a clean 150 watts out of a boss amp is not going to be easy or as much of a price savings once reliability/build quality is factored in.
Headroom is what will usually make you hear a difference.
That being said, I am a believer in tube amps. I have a USamps 600x on my floor and a TU-600 as well, the TU being the tube amp. When comparing the underside of the amps, even though they are rated to do the same power by USamps, the Tube amp is noticabally beefier. Makes me wonder if the SQ difference I hear is actually the tube fairy at work or the headroom working its magic.....

Do a search on ebay for "US amps Tube" look at a couple of the auctions and you will find a seller by the name of Andy4879 (I think those are the #'s) He is a legit dealer, he owns a shop in georgia, the amp you get will have a serial # and everything and he warrantees it through his shop for a year, he is who I got my amps through. He gave me a lil bit better price for not going through the auction or paying with paypal, as both of those cost him $, so we kind of split the difference, I saved and he saved. He is an honest guy, no worries.
DO NOT DEAL WITH MILOTRONICS.

I don't know what avionixx rates their amps at, but US is rated at 12.5 volts. Expect about a 10% increase in power per volt so you would probably see about 105 watts.
I've seen mixed reviews about the avionixx reliability, you will not find such about USamps.
The choice is yours my friend, $500 is alot for an amp, especially a 4 channel that can't be bridged, perhaps in your price bracket you can find something with more bang for your buck.
Usamps also hold a high resale value if they are cosmetically taken care of, because unless they are beaten to the exteme, they rarely die.
