-JBL 1200.1- 1200x1 at 2 ohms

-MTX Thunder- 942 940x1 BRIDGED

-RF 801S- 800x1 bridged 4 ohms

-HIFONICS ZX7500- 1000x1 BRIDGED

-Soundstream RUB1000-2 1000x1 4 ohms

I would put a jbl 1200.1 on each L715. OR the Mtx 1501D(one on each) I believe Dann on here has two L715's and two jbl 1200.1's and does some very impressive numbers.

I can highly reccommend MTX amps they are solid performers and usually are capable of more power than they're rated at. Also might look at Xtant amps, they have some pretty decent ones on ebay for good prices!

I would go with either the mtx or the jbl depending on how much u want to spend. I think the jbl's are cheaper so I would go that route.

So I should go with the MTX's I was really leaning toward the Hifonics or the JBL's more to the hifonics. A friend told me that Jbl suck is this true? And if I go with the MTX's wich one should I go with the 1501D or the thunder 942

if you want great amps, get the MTX amps, the 1501D's, they are class D and make more power than the 942 for around the same price. Plus they make a ton more power than the JBL's and they won't blow up for no reason like the JBL's!!!

More power? Agreed. But I've never had any trouble with my JBL and neither have the other people I know who run them. Not saying it doesn't happen, but my guess is that since everyone and their dog has a jbl 1200, there are inevitably going to be a few bad amps slip through and there are inevitably going to be some installed incorrectly. Mine's been running at 1 ohm since early summer. When I get more power, though, I'll more than likely switch to a slightly better amp, possibly the MTX's, possible others.

mtx is a better amp. get that, especially if you are going to run one on each 2ohm coil. run a 16volt setup sometime, mod the amp... you will be putting out some nasty power.

regardless, outa the box the MTX is a nicer amp.

The mtx 1501 IMO is the only amp I would buy on your list. Very solid performers.

What is the resistance of your Kicker L7's? Are these subs SVC or DVC? Then I would be able to recommend what amp would work better in your application. If you do plan on going with a MTX amp.
