I currently have 2 RF 12" DVC subs powered by the 800a2 amp. I want to know if I would gain any dBs if I wired it so it was bridged. Also should I step up to the power1100 or would this be a waste of money for these subs.

If you are going to compete heavily then I would suggest getting the 1100a2 and porting the box. Those subs can handle the power for short periods of time with no problem. Also you are probably getting the most from that amp at two stereo, you can only get a 4 ohm mono load with two of those subs. I have 2 of the same subs in my trunk off of a XTR 800 and they have pretty good SPL. Get three and a 1100a2 wire them for a 2.66 ohm load and drop a not at a show, you should be impressed.
