I'm looking to make my hearse have a system like the Terminator's, but not quite as elaborite. Does anyone have any suggestions to what I could do? I'd kinda like to get the controls computerized, and I'd like alot of bass in it. I'm also going to make a speaker box/coffin that will fit right in the back and will be removable because this will be a daily driver car and I'd need the room sometime. I just want to spend a grand or 2 on it. Thanx for any suggestions.

I like the idea Creepy as hell, but oh so cool!!!

I think CA&E had an s-10 a couple years ago (fire-engine red) that had a removable enclosure in the bed (it occupied the whole bed). You might want to page through back issues to look at what they did and how (thought it was just another of my diversionary tangents, didn't you .)

Not sure if you need to go with 24s, but that's what Wayne had. You could make a wall of subs right behind you, if you don't need the rear seats (or take the rear bench out and build a box with padding for the rear bench = you got bass, they got seats!!). Coffin would be cool, I like db's idea of the bouncing lid and hand ----> put on halloween music or something gothic pipe orchestra .

Oh well, have fun and much luck

I think someone on this page is trying to make his/her car computer driven, might want to look for that string too. As far as equipment, everyone's got their favs, but I'd stick with the good reliables: RF, MTX, CV, JL, PG, PPI, Kenwood, McIntosh (but 1 amp is more than youwant to spend ), and even Audiobahn or Crossfire or AudioArt.

When we had our '65 Cadillac Superior hearse I came up with a couple of coffin ideas: 3 18s, 4 15s and 16 10s.
We decided on a wall with 72 15s but had to scrap the idea and get rid of the hearse when we tied into it and found the frame rusted beyond repair.

I'm still looking.....

Competitive Audio has a hearse floating
around in the 5-8 woofer class with 8
15's. Pretty much got the whole thing
painted up in a giant spooky theme.
It does low 150's

I might add that the hearse that has been "Rocked by Competitive Audio, Rolled by Joe's Tire Shop" doesn't use up much of the space in the back of the car.

And a little lower at shows prior to
this one? I thougt I beat him once at a
DB Drag event earlier.

Tech's right, MEGA! Buddy does low 50's legal and mid 50's outlaw. I'm not sure what his high legal score is but I think that it is around 153.

Heh, well its not like im going to be able to ever go to the finals... i live in idaho, all the finals seem to be on the east coast.
Hey Wayne, why dont you hold the DB Drag Finals in like Arizona or California or Washington? Might give all of us over here a change.

Generally 'Legal' refers to mic at windshield
about 1" above dash and 12" from right pillar.
USAC SQ+ and DB Drag events score this way.
Outlaw lets the mic move around the car
with just a few restrictions.
