Ya im thinking of doing this myself, seems like it would work great. What you do is put surgical tubing inside the block seal already on door. Then seal one end the the surgical tubing "however you think works best" and use some kind of pump to pump the tube up. If you car doesnt have that black seal already in them ummm I dont think you could do this. Then again Ive never checked to see how much surgical tubing will inflate : )

Right. Run the tubing through the stock rubber seals (they're hollow anyway), plug one end and apply a air nipple to the other. The car I saw with this only needed three pumps on a bicycle pump to do an effective job (of course the doors were strapped shut...) Surgical tubing will expand like a balloon under enough pressure.

Aaron Roberts and the crew from Team Pure Sound were the first ones that i knew who used this method of door sealing. You might want to call them if you need help, they are all a bunch of good guys.

Heh, so next question! Where the hell am i going to frickin get door seals for a fcking P.o.S. 1978 Ford Pinto!? I probably should get off my ass and call the Ford dealers around town to check if they carry them.... but it will probably have to be special ordered. Maybe i will subscribe to JC Whittney magazine. They carry that kinda *****i think...... Next question... Can i do this tubeing thing, so that its like always filled with air so i can get maximum seal for daily driveing. Right now, i have no seals. Washed my car today, water was dripping in on my seats. I had to cover my sub box just in case since its made of particle board.

JC Whitney does sell a universal door weatherstrip- a 25 ft. roll that pushes onto any metal lip and has a large rubber bulb attached. I used it on the Mazda and noticed a slight difference.
