To find the res. freq of you car get all your cabin mods in and put 1 of you subs in there. Then turn up the tunes and it help to have a mic bt you may be able to come close with just listening "Maybe : P" The benifits of playing a note at that note is that your car interior and and music work together to increase spl.

P.S that was a very unscientific way of looking at it :P

Use a disc with many different test tones (dB Jams or Bass Mekanik). Get a good, reliable meter, and play the tones, one at a time. I suggest waiting a minute or two between each note in order to recharge the batts. The note that gives you the highest reading on the SPL meter is your resonant frequency. Be sure to disengage any equalizers, epicenters, or any other bass enhancement devices, as they will not be necessary for this test.
