Hi, I baught a set of 5 1/4" JL components. I connected them to my deck so I could see where would be the best place to put them in my car. I soon realised that they would sound much better if they were put in boxes. I quickly build a small box out of ply wood and installed one of my 5 1/4" drivers inot it. WOW it absolutly kicks ass! The box for one speaker has a volume of about 1.5L. I think it sounds great but i was wondering (before I make the encloseurs to perfectly fit my car) what would be approxamatly the correst box sise for theses 5 1/4" s.

I'm no pro, but 1.5 for a 5 and a quarter???
my ten inch fosgates only require 0.65 of air
space, so if your mids need more than that you need to get some new mids!!!! I say build some kick panels, drop your mids and tweets in, and rock and roll!!

I'm asying 1.5 lietres. as in about 18 ounces or roughly 4 inches by 5 inches by 6 inches. I'm just guessing, I measured in cm because i wanted lietres not cuft but i'm cuessing like .2 or .25 cuft.
