Wayne has a how to article on putting controls for a radar detector in your steering wheel. I haven't read it but you might want to check it out.

Just wanted to add click on the articles button on the top of the screen to see it.

What were you planning on doing as far as buttons go??
Were you planning a hardwire remote or infra-red??

Oh, and this is more of an Advanced Topic

Dukk THE EASIEST."Hard"or"IR" I'VE
seen some custom ones in mags.I just would like even just the volume and slection control. Reason I'm a paraplgic and driving with hand-controls and I thought it would be better than the cheeep sony joy-stick Iv'e got on the arm rest of the door panel. So like I said I'm
just asking around and looking.

So you have a Sony deck then???

Well that's not too hard then, except for choosing switches and integrating them into the wheel...

CA&E or CSR may have a couple how-to install articles as well. The boys at Sony may have a few ideas if you e-mail them nicely, Grizz has answered my questions @ MTX; they may do the same. (Same goes for RF.) Your local installer may have a few good ideas too.

What is the major point of consternation? Putting the buttons on the wheel or wiring the wheel (if not using IR controller)? You might be able to go back to your dealer, I'm assuming that you have all the car controls on the steering-wheel (one of my college friends lost his legs in an accident and they wired his wheel with the controls.) They may be able to help out too. Just a thought.

Good luck and glad to have you on board!!!!!

ub

cuz Lord Dukk said so? Zhe-shi bu tai hao.
