Once again...my idea isn't going to work. The 4 eights across the rear deck is going to be hard to do with all the metal bars running right under the deck.

I have yet another idea. 2 MTX 15" 3000 series subs running off the punch 200.2. These subs are pretty cheap...handle 250 rms and they look like they'll get each hit pretty deep in a 2.5 ft^3 enclosure.

This would easily be louder than the 2 12's.

I haven't really heard all that much about mtx subs though...will these subs be clean? I really can't afford much else. I'm either stuck with the 12's or I get the 15's

thanx

I forgot to say...I'll be running the amp at 2 ohm mono...so that should add a few watts over the 4 ohm mono I'm using now.

Dangnabit! And I had such a good idea for the 8s.....
An XLC 15 isn't that much more than the 3000 and handles way more power...

Dukk...you said the xlc 15's handle way more...

Fosgate's page says they handle 200 rms and 400 max.

Mtx says their 3000 15" handles 250 rms and 500 max.

Are you saying that mtx is overrating? Or Fosgate is under rating?

I can't speak on the MTX's but I know for a fact that the RF are under rated. If I was you I would go for the RF's and you will be more than happy.

I gotta agree with S10 there.
RF overbuilds and underates.

The RF will handle 400 RMS easy.
NOT that I think the MTX is a bad brand..

Will the mtx's handle anymore than 250 rms? Or would they only handle the 250 rms?
