The equipment: One AQ HDC318c One MB Quart DSC2000.1D amp One Autozone marine battery-to power amp One interstate battery-to power car 0/0 cabling Stock H.O. alt Fusion mids/highs and a cheap jvc deck model 200 something?
The Materials: Lots of 3/4" mdf ~ 425lbs. 24 1-3/4" square studs ~ 100lbs. 10 2x4 8' studs ~ 128lbs. Concrete ~ 450lbs. Lots of expandable foam lots of resin and glass Misc. chit
The plan: Build a serious ground/lane pounder on the cheap(wow, new concept:)
BTW this is or will be a single sub wall build.
So far I've laid down 240lbs. of concrete in the rear seat area and floor boards. Attached some studs to the rear seat back area for box support and removed the headliner for stiffening. The box is 95% done, still need to cut out the port and sub holes. The box dims are 22x16x51 outside(will be about 7.25 cubes after bracing, port area etc). This will be tuned around 35hz, with a slot port.
I will post some pics soon. I'm hoping to get this done before the world finals. IDK.
Right now I'm about to get the roof situated any ideas on cheap and easy ways to stiffen it? I was thinking of using expandable foam between mdf and the roof(brace it, let it dry and done)?

Question: Anyone know what classes I would be able to run in?
With a concrete floor, roof stiffening, walled, one sub, one amp, two bats, one stock alt.
I have asked this question before, just didn't know at the time which way I would be going on this build. Thanks.

i see u using a brad nailer from harbor freight not bad gun for the price and i see u using god glue i really hope u plan to also screw those 2x4;s if not u going to wish u did
My last major build was to MTX fifteens in a fourth order box which was liquid nailed and screwed, that box was bullet proof.
I will use some screws on this build, I just don't like the wood splitting problem that comes with using them.

Yeah, having been around the block a few times, it's always better to over do it.
Lags will hold down the 2x4's, screwed & glued for the rest.
I need to get this thing done! The cars been on jack stands for 8 months. My neighbors hate me, skilsaw and air compressor going until 3-4am. lol.

* i personaly would have made the box bigger ( i know and readed the statement from the AQ guy ) , but still
Ok, I got some more room to work with(it got cold out and a roof support decided it wanted to come out). New dimensions: 49"L x 23"W x 34"H. I plan on using an adjustable port(for daily).
* put the sub in the lower right corner instead of the uppercorner
Will do!
* port : can go differend directions with that , sure for a low groundpounder . Give more info what you like to hear , enjoy , do
This car will be a daily driver and is setup for extreme 1. I normally listen to bass cd's, R&B, rap, and old school jams 70's, 80's hits etc.
Looks like a Killer install with alot of passion and fun in it , nice to see !!
Thanks! I have always loved anything involving music.

But you are right regards US car , its differend then EU car ( taller and overal differend ) , so fine tuning or little tricks for all out spl are things You guys need to shim in here
@ Wattsinaname : when you compete ( in Ex 1 )you like to get a high as possible spl score ?? Or you like at the competitions a low groundpounder to ?? Questions i ask is regards what best to do portwise ...
