This is what I want to do. I already have 1 old school sub amp I want to use a matching amp to the pair of subs. Here is the question is it true that if I use 2 amps to two woofers in the same common chamber ported box that I will have problems?

it probably won't be as perfect as it could be, but won't be a huge difference. But if a sub or amp ever blows, there's a good chance that you'll lose another.

The only thing to concern yourself with is that you try to match the power output of both amplifiers as close as possible to each other. You can do this by measuring the output voltage of both amplifiers and getting them as close to each other as possible by balancing the amplifier's input gains so that the outputs are playing at the same voltage, and as a result, both speakers are producing equal pressures at the same time, and maximizing the overall SPL produced.

some people like to gain match. some people like to power match which i would prefer when it's a burp only situation
