hey everybody,in new here, been a streetbeater since the "diamond r" punch boys.i currently run a new kenwood bluetooth head unit, the audiocontrol epic160 dashmount,a elemental designs NiNE.1 on a mtx 9512-44 sub,all infinity highs powered off a jl 300/4.heres my issue,my sub is pretty loud,135 db constant according to the db meter in the audiocontrol however accurate it is.i want LOUD as possible from this set up.currently in a 4.11 foot box total,a 35 inch square port 13" deep, supposed to be tuned @ 38hz according to mtx tech.with the available box size, would tuning lower be better?and what about a transmission line enclosure, anybody done one for a 9500 and what kinds of results?thanks again and great website...

If your trying to feel it? or see it on a meter, thats two different things. Yes it's possible that a lower tuned box might be what your looking for as far as getting a feel of more bass(at least at lower notes) as for seeing it on a meter tuning higher would actually score some more db's. Nothing beats adding more subs and amps!

Add another sub, run the amp at 1 ohm.
2.25 cubes of air space per sub.
36" of port area 50" long.
27 Hz tuning.
