There is a teamate of mine with 2 15's in the trunk of a Nissan Altima doing 148.6 at the dash Db Drag style. He has the woofers firing up into the trunk lid and aeroports firing into the cab of the car through where the back seat folds down. I know it doesn't sound like a conventional design, but it's loud and works well on a meter. It doesn't sound the best but you could try it out and see if you like it or not.

it is all the way back, but i am not sure what the tunning is. i think it is around 46 to 47hz. ive got my ports low in the box, should they be centerd. would you mind sharing your box design? if not i understand.

accualy I didnt build mine someone else did but you might try tuning your box lower my cavalier always peaked low when set up like that it would peak at 43hz if I faced the subs twards the back the peak was at 40hz trunk cars seem to like more of a musicly tuned setup

thanks i will try that. i have blocked off one of my ports and it seemed a bit louder. also i turned the loudness off on my deck and it seemed to have more dynamics to it. so maybe i will block a port again and see if there is a change with the loudness off. i guess i will be building a new box and center the ports and tune it lower. by the way do you know how long your ports are? thanks

Hey Mike this is Brandon from DC's have you seen my box the way its designed I think you should try it like that the box all the way too the front with a slot vent on the driver's side and then seal it off from the trunk robbie and dennis can make you very loud but you cant just throw boxes in there and expect to hit a 150 you have to take your time and design the box properly and then make changes too it until you get it right Im telling you I was hitting exactly what you were with the same box I have in their now we just made changes to it and added stuff to it. so give them a call or stop by their they would love to help you out your on our team so why not let them help you.

Then just play the disk and check the spectrum analyzer, read how to do a "Hold" on the frequency finder and you'll be all set.
3. If you want higher SPL then you'll probably have to tune higher then 30-40hz!
