You guys havn't mentioned Shedluvs old setup!

He had 2 DD 9510s on a zapco 9.0 back in like 03 in an ext cab s10.

Subs up port up (port on the driver side) and could do right at a 152 pretty consistently.

Might look at just using 2 subs ported instead of 4 sealed also

Subs back does work in some applications....

It sure works in my Toyota Pickup....

Everyone seems to think it doesn't but everyone who has heard it sure thinks otherwise.

I may not meter well on the TL but the sound to my ears are what's important....

What you can do is build a test box for a single sub, flip it around trying different firing directions in your vehicle and see what works best for you.

If your referring to me saying that I have a backfired setup in my current vehicle, thats because thats the setup I already have. I never ONCE argued with ANYONE on here. Go pick a fight somewhere else with a troller or something.

To clarify what I was saying earlier, I have 2 12" type-r's in the back of my truck with a 1200 watt amp that I pulled out of my old blazer that I totalled, and when I first installed them, I remembered how I had everything pointed backwards in the blazer and it sounded very good and got hella low, and I also read how pointing backwards allows the bass to travel farther creating more spl, and so I assumed I might get a similar effect in the s10. Obviously, I was wrong, and i noticed right away that the bass isnt nearly as loud and doesnt sound as good in the truck, and now that I know better, I will be facing them upwards immediately.

Whatever dude. You were the one bitching about not being able to lean your seats back with the type of enclosures suggested. You also said that it would sound like crap with the subs firing foward into the seat. You are ignorant. You have never even heard a setup like this or you would know that it works perfectly fine. Up firing is the best way to go. I'm not trying to pick a fight either. I'm just sick of all the new members that sign up here and come and ask questions and then don't seem to like the answers that they get. This is an spl forum usually used for questions to make cars ungodly loud. Maybe this could have been answered best by a Circuit City or Best Buy employee.
Zach.....

Ouch....kinda harsh bro [Freak] [Razz] .
I would have gave him a similar answer as posted above.
