I have a 2002 mercury cougar with 3 15" heavy duty powerplant subs with 3 1500 watt mono powerplant amps. As of right now i have the subs facing toward the front of the car with the port in the middle of the box and i built it all to specs i was wondering if i should face them up towards the roof with the port up or should i leave it the way it is now. Any help would be a great help. Thanks

well I can't give you much help but this is what I know:
I have a single 15" sealed off facing the front and am doing a 150db leagal on a TL.
I have also seen higher numbers with two 15" facing to the rear( tuned way low)
and I have also seen two facing up and port to the front do good numbers aswell
All of this just means more is not always better?you will just have to decide what you want a daily driver or all out SPL then test your way till you get there.

I would try facing the subs up and the port back in that car. You should have good results by doing it that way. The only problem I see with that car too is that 3 15's is a little much to fit in there. I'm not sure if you'll be able to fit it with the proper air space and still not be a wall. Otherwise you might as well build a wall and be done with it.
