Hi
I want to bridge my 1st gen. Orion 225 HCCA into mono. I have used 4 4ohm subs in the past and have been very pleased with the power. I now have room for one more sub and would prefer to use 4 ohm subs since I already own 4 of them.
I would appreciate any info.
Thanks.

I am open to changing speakers if I must. As long as I can sqeeeze in the fifth sub and run at half an ohm.

a fifth 4ohm sub would put you at 0.8ohm

Thanks for the reply D-Bass. Does the calculation change when subs are bridged into mono? I tried an impedence calculator and you answer is correct for a stereo set up. I'm not sure about mono. I thought a fifth sub would put me a bit lower but i'm not sure.

.8 ohm mono is the same as .4 per channel stereo.
1 ohm mono is half ohm per channel in stereo.
2 ohm mono is 1 ohm per channel in stereo.

The stereo load is one half of the mono load since both channels share the load equally.

Thanks. Can I possibly combine series and parallel wiring? I still want to try running five 4ohm subs without going below .5
