I'm looking to put a system into my 07 Dodge RAM. It's been quite sometime since I've been in the car audio game. I'm looking for sound quality, and also loudness (not competition level, but still loud). I guess I should throw in there, I listen to mostly Hard Rock/Alternative/Metal. I think I have most of it down. I definitely need some input on component speakers for the front and regular speakers for the rear. Here's what I'm currently thinking:

Head Unit: Kenwood KVT-819DVD

Speaker Amp: Alpine PDX-4.100

Sub Amp: Alpine PDX-1.600

Subs: 2 x Image Dynamics ID10

My main reason for the amp and the sub selections are to be able to use them all in small/tight places. With the subs, I'm also considering JL 10w3's instead. Could use input there too.

Now as far as the speakers go, I was liking the Alpine R series, but I think they might be too big. My next choice was MB Quart Reference series, but I heard MB Quart is now garbage. One other speaker I was contemplating was the Polk Momos, but I've heard they're not worth the money.

I've currently got my eyes on the Diamond Audio D6 series with the silk dome tweeters. I've never heard these, and don't have a local dealer. I've heard they were pretty descent speakers however. The other speaker that has my eyes is TMAs T6.5SC2. Haven't been able to hear these either.

I know a lot of people are going to say go Focal all the way, but I'm trying to keep things relatively inexpensive, even though I think they sound awesome. I'd like to try to keep the speakers between 200 and 250 most.

So what's everyone think? I'll take any advice on any part of the system. I'm open minded guy.

If you are thinking of JL's W3, why not just get the stealthbox? Quad Cab???
If you are wanting good SQ, skip out on the TMA's and the Type-R's.
If you are looking at the Alpine PDX, stop in your tracks. JL's new HD600/4 amp just came out. More power, more efficiency, and even smaller. check it out at jl's site. I'll try to post pics on saturday
