Ok over on CCA I have been having a little pow wow with some guys on what class I should go for.Well it has kinda turned in to a "my car won`t do well post"
The reason is because my rear seats don`t fold down.
Well I don`t get this part as the center of the rear seat is where the sub will be(The face of the sub as ther is a huge pass thru hole) so the sub will be fireing from there. It will be ported from the rear deck with 4 6" ports(I can fit up to 8)
The trunk will have no common air with the car as it is a total seal(full trunk is the box)
So because of this they say I won`t hit any good numbers or be to competitive.
I have more power then most(total of 5 American Bass 200.1`s).A good number of DD9912`s as well as some 99z12`s on the way when the line is back up at DD.I was thinking on grabing the new Ground Zero 2.20000 So why just because my seats don`t fold down to show the MDF and fibreglass will I be in with bad numbers.Ok I do know that seats do take some SPL away but so much that my gear and soon to be on the way gear won`t hit any good numbers just because of the rear seat folding issue?

I was looking to go in Street A or B. My question is why do I get told the car will not get any good numbers no matter what I do and I was told it is all because my back seats won`t go down(its not like the sub is mounted behind the seats its between them and the ports fire forword from the rear deck).

I think 5 cars for one person is enough. This is my beater car(even if it is mint)and I have way to much invested in my other rides to even think of touching them

i don't think the sub sticking into the passenger compartment is legal in street

As long as he makes it pretty it would be legal.
If you mount the sub normal and have it where the center armest can still fold up then it could be legal for a street class
However I personally think if you did a bandpass through that hole it would be louder then just the sub sticking through there and you wouldn't have to cut up the rear deck.
Or you could even port the rear deck and not worry about the armrest

^^^^^Agreed^^^^^
Or you could do a smaller box as you have lots of power available and fire the sub woofer one side and port to other and let breathe out that opening
