There is a ton involved if you are unexperienced, my advice would be to contact a custom audio shop and ask them some of the details as this is not a newbie friendly job.

16 volt was very easy for me, but yea, it's pretty much a totally different world when doing it.

I mean what do I have 2 do can I just buy a couple of Kinetik 16v batteries and be done with it. Because I already need 2 buy another battery for my system and might as well be 16 volt if the conversion is easy enough?

you need to replace your alternator, to one with an adjustable regulator, capable of high current at 17-19volts. then you need 16Volts batteries. then you need step-down modules so the vehicle still sees 12/14volts. you'd need one or two of those modules, depending how much current your vehicle tries to draw at maximum draw. The more options like power locks, windows, wipers, a/c, etc..., the more low voltage current you'll need.
The other option is to add a 2nd alternator somewhere under the hood, and use that to charge the 16v batts and amps. then use the factory alternator and battery to run the car.

That **** just sounds expensive so I think I'll stick with my existing 14 volt set- up with just another hc1800 battery.

Yeah, you will need a new alt that will charge 18volts. The kinetik 16volt batteries have a seperate 12volt post that can be used to run all the cars electrical components.
