Hey guys, i'm new here. I'm not clueless to car audio or anything but i'm still learning about pure spl setups. I own a 98 Dodge ram 1500 quad cab truck and i need a couple ideas of a 140+ db setup for it. I got tons of room behind the front seats for an enclosure so space isint a problem.
I was thinking of throwing 4 10" JL w7's back there but i honestly have no idea if it's gonna be as loud as i'm hoping for so if anyone can give me some ideas it would be greatly apreciated! thanks.

Price willing to spend on subs and amps, what size are you wanting (if any specific) , amp/s you have or wanting, battery power you have and willing to upgrade to.. those are just a few.

JL W7's arent all what there cracked up to be when it comes to SPL. Unless they have changed in the last 3 years and from what I've been still hearing, they havnt Id save the cash and look for RE Audio, Digital Designs, Treo, Kicker L7's and god knows what else might be out there thats new to me and loud. In any spl related organization you need to know the rules and biuld your system to where it pushes the rules so its just legal and you stay in the class your looking to compete in. Now to make power you need power, upgrade the alt and battery is obvious. Ported box is a MUST for SPL. High wattage is also a must! Make sure your grounds are good so you arent wasting any power. Bad grounds could be the breaking point of 150db+ Just remember this, to scoring well and compete wheather its locally or nation wide remember this, TEST TEST TEST!!! You have to keep biulding boxes and make each one slightly different. Slightly larger could gain or lose some SPL, maybe a larger port area or smaller port area, tuning is another area where it can take alot of tuning and testing to get the most out of your amps and subs.
