Hey, I am new to this forum and I was wondering if someone could help me out. I am running 1 18” RE Audio MT dual 1Ω sub. Its being powered buy 2 Rockford BD 4000.1 and backed up by 4 Kinetik HC 2400’s. I’m having some trouble designing the box. The box will be in a 2000 Hyundai Elantra. I am taking out the back seat and building the box below the window line to compete in a no wall class. The sub and port will be firing up towards the ceiling. I have done some calculations and the total net volume of the box is around 9 cubes. My question is what should I tune the box to, and how much port area should I do? I have talked to the owner of the shop I bought the sub form and he said 6.5 cubes @ 35Hz. I have talked to other people and they said that is tuned to low for competition. Could someone help shed some light on this? Thanks so much.

port and sub need to fire forward and you need to find the frequency of your car and tune ur box to it
