I have been installing my own systems for a long time. I design and install for others as well. I am not a professional, but what is a professional anyway? Do you have to got to insatall school to be a pro? I guess I just want more sound output that is possible from such a small car. Anyway if anyone has a good box design for this car or has a 92-96 lude with a system you want to show off, or if you just have some advice let me know. Thanks Steve (Bassman

I have 2 10" dei woofers in my car now I wish I could get 4 12" in there. Gotta save the little back seat for my kids though.

Here are some pics from my 4th gen Prelude (92 SR) however it's probably a little more than what you are looking to do.

I took the back seats out and ended up putting a wall in my vehicle. What seerates this from other similar setups is that this was back in 1998-1999, almost 9 years ago...

TRELO LUDE, wow, that's a nice setup! Beautiful. If you replace those subwoofers with RE MT or any model of Kicker, then that'll be much sweeter. [Smile]

Same color as my prelude. I like how you did that. Did you just make the box outside the car, then put it in the car and add the face board to seal the front of the car from the back? Is the box sealed or open in the back? Did you swap the front face for plexi or is it just lit up/

for starters the enclosure was built outside the vehicle. The sides and the rear where 1.5 inch mdf while the front face was 1" lexan. The inside of the enclosure was convered in plexi mirror.

The subs themselves where 15s and the system itself was made before RE was around possibly.
You have to remember this was back in 98-99.

Also to answer the setup was sealed. It was 3cubes. Also to add that the system has long been dimanteled when the car was writen off back in 2001.

Hope this helps

Thanx TRELO LUDE , I'm thinking of putting 2 15" old school strokers, or 4 12" vega series in my prelude, or just sell it for a Pathfinder or something.

old school Strokers are sweet..pretty familiar with them. just that they need a ton of space if you really want to get maximum output. I figure the most space you've got back there is 10cubes and thats really really pushing it. I'd think that a pair of 15s need more than that. Good luck my man. Definately like to see it once it's all said and done. I deginately miss my old set up.
