Hi all. My friends and I are in the process of making a plan for pre-installation. I have four S12"L7 to play with and my back seat of truck (Nissan Frontier '99) is about 17 cubic feet. But I only need at least 12 cu.ft. of space, so that's more than enough room. The problem, however, is I don't think we can fit one big vented box through the door to get in the backseat of ex cab. Several of my friends recommended that they can make two separate vented boxes and then, after put them both together in cab, they can build to make it looks like one big box.

I wasn't even sure if that's a good idea, however, as long as both of them are in exactly same sizes and all that, I'm assuming it should be okay? Because I've seen the setup like that from someone else and they seemed to be happy with that. And also other thing that I'm a bit concerned is the depth. The exactly measure of space I have in cab is: 49"W X 16" to 18"D X 39"H. Is depth concerned problem? To give you better idea, this is what I have now (two S12"L7 powered by KX1200.1):

I just want someone to help give me an idea of what to build (size of ported area or sq.ft, etc.) for four of 12"L7. Basically, I'm just looking low bass and loud (30 to 35hz, at least) for daily driver.

Thanks a lot! I appreciate it.

I've done something like that many times. My brother and his friend were putting 4 tens in a 13cf wall in the back of a mid90's saturn. they built it in car, but the box was weak.
I cut the box in half and pulled it out. then I rebuilt it.
Basically, build a top half and a bottom half. Two separate boxes. cut the shape of a digital 8 or something in the box. basically a couple big holes so that the airspace is shared, but enough top of the bottom, and bottom of the top....that you can bolt them together and sand them smooth. then you just carpet them once in the car and place your trim. either order.
