Hey everybody. Just as the topic implies (or directly states) - I am looking for some guidance here.

I have a 2005 Hyundai Tucson SUV that I want to put a system into. I have a new Sony Headunit and CD Changer. I am replacing all the factory 6.5" and Tweeters with new Concept stuff. That covers all 4 doors. I have Concept 4" that I think I can mount into the door as well - or maybe the center consoles - still looking at that.

I also have 4 Concept 8" for mid-bass - was looking at a custom fiberglass encloser on the headliner near the back window to house those. Any thoughts?

Also I have a total of 6 12" Concept Subs. I am thinking of using 4 of them - dont know for sure - but not sure how to install them exactly. This vehicle is a daily driver, I have kids I have to transport sometimes as well - laundry - groceries - etc etc etc. So how to maximize the boom - and maximize the room? Heh - wow - that was clever of me [Smile]

I am wanting to move the spare tire and jack out of the well and cover that with plexi and such and make that my battery and amp hold. But still - what to do with the subs?

Anyone - any thoughts?

Thank you,

I'd reconsider the 8"midbass location. (look at the sq thread for reasons)

If you are really good with fiberglass and feel daring I'd try popping the 8"s in your doors.

Depending on how loud you want your Tucson to get, you might even want to scale it down to two 12"s. As long as you have plenty of power, two twelves can work out pretty well.

What kinda power are you looking to run? More importantly, what are your design goals?

(SPL, SQ, Great overall daily)

The 8"s will not fit into the doors without some serious modification.

Basically - I want an great daily - that really looks clean and nice - and can get loud when I want it to.

Im not wanting to win world championships or anything - I just want it to look cool and sound great.

2 12"s I have thought about - but still - just need to find a way to install them and keep alot of my cargo room.

(Just an example) Right now I have a pair of RE 8"s hooked up to an orion 1200d doing sub duty.

For me, daily it works great. I get pretty good output (rivals 2x10"s even hack 2x12"s jobs) and I still have enough room in the back for running errands and whatnot. (oh yeah, this is in a midsize SUV)

It really depends on your subs specs. If you could post some links to the subs you have and their T/S Parameters maybe I (or other members) can get a better idea of some suggestions.

These are the specs for the subs of Concept. I have the ZT-124 subs.

I also believe the 8's are the HZ-84's as well.

put them in sealed boxes of 0.75cubic feet (there recm. size) and it will only take up about 5 cubic feet. i had bigger boxes in car trunks with room to spare. build a half wall or something like a "U" shape 2 subs to each section, have all the subs facing the middle of the "U", heck then if u run 3 amps just mount them on the box facing the backdoor. 14x14x12 for each sub would be fine.batts could mount on either side to the bottom box and still plexi that if you want. subs won't get pushed on or anything blocking them. sorry maybe going a little overboard, i haven't seen the trunk of the Tucson so i don't know how much room you have or want to use, but size of box can be teaked. or check out this boxhttp://cgi.ebay.com/6-10-JL-Audio-Subs-Soundstream-Tarantula-Amp_W0QQitemZ110046473109QQihZ001QQcategoryZ39771QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
